😨 Action #0034 - Where Do We Go From Here?

The future of this newsletter and your own routine.

Let me be frank. The #weeklyaction creation process has turned tiresome. There, I said it. To all of you. Laying it out like it is. Honesty is key to any relationship if you ask me, and I’d like to think that you and I - have a relationship through this newsletter. An honest relationship. So I hope you find the time to read my babbling.

The newsletter has become routine, and when routine happens - quality starts to drop, people stop innovating, relationships grow weary. The energy dissipates. This was touched upon in Action #0011. Don’t let routine get you. Break it.

As a result, last week marked the first time in 34 consecutive weeks, without an action. This is sad. Action must be taken, and I hope you can help.

In a recent interview, I stated that the reason for having the newsletter in the first place was to have a place where I can fully express myself while providing value, and also to have it as a tool to help me find areas where I can improve.

When it comes to self-expression, the format of the newsletter is shaping my chaotic, uncontrollable, somewhat crazy, and rebellious soul of a writer into a box, a repetitive box. This kills creativity and makes it more difficult to write on topics such as #leadership, #teamwork, #relationships - for I now must have an #action, a #personal application, #professional application, #lazymode to go with it.

Value creation, I basically hope that you are getting value, and if you do, please do let me know, so I know that this is working for you. To create more value, I am hoping to do workshops, webinars, and other additional content.

Finally, it is my sincere belief that how you do anything is how you do everything. It is not the first time in my life that I get stuck in a routine mid-way through a project, or when something becomes routine. This time, I am not going to give up, nor am I going to sit passively, this is what often kills companies, and initiatives.

Instead, I will innovate, and make it fun again. First, by writing this letter straight from my heart, to your [ choose the part of you that you read this with, and I hope that the choices are {heart, soul, mind} ]. Second, by experimenting with the format, and perhaps getting rid of the structure altogether. Three, by asking you to give me feedback and to guide me in a direction that would make this newsletter work for you.

For that, let me present this week’s action:

🤔 The Why

The show must go on, and when one feels difficulty - action must be taken. My hope is by showing my vulnerability and honesty, you will see how you can apply the same approach to your own life.

💡 Some Ideas

  • Change the format: action, followed by thoughts and insights of the week.

  • Change the format: keep the action, but have additional newsletters on other content.

  • Create monthly webinars on different self-development concepts.

  • Organize a physical #weeklyaction retreat in Estonia.

  • Write less, but create more video and audio content.

Let me know what you think, and thank you for being a part of this wonderful journey.

Best,

D.
